Smile Windows 7 SP1 Build 7601.16502.100208-1500 Leaked Screenshots

Russian website Wzor indicates that Microsoft is currently up to Windows 7 SP1 Build 7601.16518.100302-1530, the last Build compiled in early March 2010 in the winmain_sp branch. At the same time, 7601.16502.100208-1500 is mentioned among the Builds compiled in February 2010, and now screenshots allegedly from the release have been leaked.

I think they will delay the release of SP1, because Win 7 is released just 4 or 5 months ago...

I don't think Microsoft has much choice. Users are embracing Windows 7 in far greater numbers than Vista did initially. The updates/patches/etc. are accumulating pretty fast, so anyone with an install DVD is going to spend some time with the individual files through Windows Update.

As an aside, I wonder how many users are dual-booting Windows 7 and Win XP? That 10 year-old OS is hard to give up, after all. I only have one fully dedicated WIn 7 machine. The rest are either dedicated XP boxes or some combination of XP/7/Linux.

Let me add I think Windows 7 is a winner; I could never have imagined Microsoft would do such a good job.

Always code as if the person who ends up maintaining your code is a dangerous psychopath and knows where you live.

Wel , I am still on Windows XP and perhaps will stick to it for some more time. May be Win7 SP1 can make me shift to Windows 7 but still thats only a possibility.
