    Poll: Which Firewall do you use?

    I would like to know which firewall the members of this forum prefer.


    A few requests for members:

    1. Please cast your vote for your favorite Firewall and post a comment why you like the firewall over the others?

    2. This survey has votes freeware firewalls only. This way all members can gain some info and try it if they are interested.
    But you are are welcome to post your personal experience with any FW of your choice.


    3. If possible you can list the features or the advantages/disadvantages of the Firewall that you use.

    May be you should have added a option of firewall built inside antivirus or internet security product. I am adding that. Hope I am not missing something.

    And I am using the firewall built inside my Internet security product. Regarding name, As many of you know I have stopped talking about my favorites directly anywhere on blog or forum. So no names from me.

    As of now I am using PC Tools Firewall Plus.

    With the "Allow all applications" option disabled it performs very well and I am able to block files/components effectively

    Unlike other FWs which allow the entire application if we select allow for the main application alone, PCT FW can block individual components of applications which try to run/connect to the internet.

    I prefer to use built in firewall in a suite but otherwise I use either windows firewall or Private Firewall..

    I used to use commercial firewalls but they all seem to get annoying after awhile. Currently I am running windows 7 built in firewall
