Avira have announced the availability of Avira 2012 Beta at their Blog: http://techblog.avira.com/2011/09/08/avira-products-version-2012-for-windows-now-available-for-beta-testing/en/
Looks like they have tweaked it for user-friendliness, although the screenshot of the UI is far from impressive.
Note: You need to register to their beta program to test it.

Thanks Ashwin, i will give it a try
This version seems improved and its good thing as well since both Avg and Avast have already released their new version but ever since Avira partnership with Uniblue and Ask for adding unwanted c*** to their free AV many have moved over from Avira to other AV's.I really hope this 2012 version is improved and clean without any additional bloat to it and its important for them too as both Avg and Avast new versions have yielded positive results from many users, Avira has some catch-up to do but they always had the advantage of better detection rate compared to both Avg and Avast.
Interface improved and looks promising.
If the Start Windows Restart when Windows starts check box is checked Windows Restart will start automatically every time Windows is started
After testing, will anyone give some comments on it.
It's good to see that Avira has took a step forward to make a better interface, even though it's not the best. Let us hope that the final version will be surprising like what Avast did with its version 5![]()
