Any Tata Indicom Broadband users here?
need some help
lol... Atleast I am not. But you could have asked the question straight away. May be still we can help :)
ok.
How to keep the connection active, as dies out automatically and requires logging in every time
Wifi Router, Belkin Made
Firmware Version F5D7234-4_UK_1.00.01
Boot Version v1.02
Hardware F5D7234-4 v1000
Serial No. 20929723404370
Then why not you input your username and password right inside your Router settings by logging in at http://192.168.1.1
router is http://192.168.2.1/index.html
what next?
it says:
Dynamic
Mine is set under Interface >> Interface setup.
I am not sure if it will help, check out http://www.keepalive.me.uk/index.html
found this

is ur connection PPPoE?
here it shows PPPoE for me also
Belkin : Support What are my Internet Service Provider (ISP) configuration details?
chk Airtel & Tata
Keep Alive didn't help
Tried configuring for PPPoE - didn't work.
back to step1 now
after setting PPPoE it didn't got subnet mask, Ip, DNS, etc details.
So it was not able to get online with PPPoE configuration.
searched on net, it's their procedure of connection.
I think there is something called Autodisconnect in Windows. But it should show you a dialog box. My sister has photon and has no such issues.
BTW Tata is crap except for Tata Sky. I had got their cordless phone and net and suffered a lot. Even my ISP since last year had switched to Airtel for leasing bandwitdh. Even I did not know this but there is a remarkable increase in speed and decrease in downtime.
photon is a usb stick, right?
How Autodisconnect Works in Windows NT and Windows 2000. Check this.
Yes photon is a USB stick. My uncles Reliance had the same problem but IT was escan terminating the connection. If you have any special dailer software add it as an exception in Outpost and KIS.
