If you are having problems with the KIS 2011 update service, you can repair it by going to Windows control panel > Programs > Kaspersky > modify > Repair

It appears updating KIS 2011 without an internet connection or manually is quite complicated.

I wish you the best of luck. Why you cannot simply download the definitions database and either execute it or place it in a KIS folder is beyond me.

Downloaded av-i386&ids-cumul.zip and tried updating

but

Error: License Verification failed.:yell:

It looks like Kaspersky has blocked offline updates..:noidea:

Above method worked. Nothing complicated, but rather time consuming :)

No, there is none.
But u would find many Kaspersky Ftps and https...where there are daily, cululative updates, but they cannot be used for updating ...

I coudl help by sharing you the database backup...if u are using KIS...let me know. It woudl be a huge size..:)

No service as such. In the updates tab of KIS thr is an option to copy the updates locally...

I have a good net speed @office, so u know I could help...:pray2:

Thanks again. I followed that procedure and copied updates to local folder.
