folder/file locker/hider
better Firewall controls - outgoing traffic monitoring
not more than 2 versions of windows, aka, Home & Professional

Nope, just started using windows 7 thanks to a good friend :rolleyes: may try transformation packs later.

Having just moved to 7, I'm not too interested in Windows 8.
Besides that, MS should keep improving Vista and 7 for a few more years rather than launch another OS and start killing them.

I wish there was a more powerful FW, you never know, they came up with a great AV like MSE, they might develop a super FW too.

I have read some Win8 leaked articles but won't believe it till it come straight from MS.

Windows 8C --> C stands for Clone of Windows 7 because i don't think we can expect much improvement in Windows8 :p

i really wish MS to include all the basic features like a PDF Reader, a better Defragmenter, uncompression tool etc

Ans Yes. I like Ribon explorer the most. i would like microsoft to integrate a tuneup software and enable aero for all graphic cards or atleast let us change the taskbar color

A inbuilt ide and some games for the young and ya pls include office too.
Improve WMp12 and give it all advanced features.( like converting files etc)
Make ms paint a photoshop killer.
also include moviemaker yaar.

Somewhat. It is still very early in development thus things will certainly change with it frequently.

No. But have seen some pretty nice-looking packs

New UI (Codenamed Mosh) and App Model (Codenamed Jupiter)

Same as Windows 7 minimum requirements. Mine can run it with it's eyes closed =)

Every version starting from Windows 3.1 through Windows 7

In short I did follow the Windows 8 development that is going on, but unless I am able to get my hands on it physically I cant really comment what I would like or what not in that.

Also, I did downloaded few releases but I was unable to install it on Vmware Machine or Virtual box. I didnt tried to install it on a Physical machine as MY desktop is dead now and I cant experiment with it on my working system i.e. my Laptop.

I have used every windows starting from Windows 95 to windows server 2008.

I would wait for its first beta release or may be developer preview to check it on again. Right now just keeping an eye on developments using various sources (using feeds) in my Google reader and a bit of twitter etc.
