Anybody here installed the new service pack 1 yet?
In other forums there were lot of complaints about upgrade messing their drivers of USB devices
Took note of that bug, so clean installed Windows SP1
Everything works fine, no issues whatsoever :dance:
How did your upgrade go? Any problems?
I haven't tried it yet....

I am already on upgraded Windows 7 SP1 64 bit since the day it came out, on my desktop and no issues till now.
I am facing one problem...whenever i connect any usb drive to my pc after Sp1 installation. I am not able to remove usb drive though the message appears that "you can safely remove usb drive" but my drive is still shown in my computer and i can still access it after the removal message.

Upgraded also the same day of release, a little trouble with web shield blocking but after a format and clean install no other problems to report.:dance:
Instead of applying the service pack, I wiped the old win 7 install and used the new ISO with integrated service pack to install a fresh OS.Quote:

For people who haven't installed SP 1:
Download your computer specific Windows 7 SP1 from: Download details: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932)
Scroll down to see the description of each file.
Click on Continue, and it will ask you to download the Genuine Windows Validation tool, don't close the browser.
Download the Genuine Windows Validation tool, run it.
Copy the code it gives you and paste it in the browser window and select the version you want to download, use a download manager to download the file.
For eg: my PC is running 32-bit Windows 7 so I downloaded "windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe"
It was a 537.8MB exe file.
