I use Norton DNS (another layer of protection since it blocks sites on the Norton blacklist) for the 1st 2 slots in my router configuration and have Google DNS (speed) for the 3rd one.
None. Airtel DNS is faster for me than others in a Namebench test
Earlier I was using OpenDNS (with another ISP)
I don't use any DNS service. Tried Google, Comodo and Open DNS. But didn't find any speed improvement. So, just using what my ISP provides.
Currently using DynDNS from OpenDNS. Seems same as Google DNS but still just started using it. Have tried Comodo DNS...seems same in speed as OpenDNS and my ISP.
Im using Comodo DNS, just to add some security... not for speed.
I'm using Google DNS, I tried Norton DNS before but it changed my url bar search provider from google to ask.com :-_-: Tried to change it back with "about:config" but the "Keyword.URL" value wasn't changed....
I'm not sure also :P (That's what I did, I changed the network configuration on control panel)
I've just tried again and got the same result: I press ctrl+L to focus on the url bar and then write something, avinashtech for example, without Norton DNS it performs a google search with the option " I'm feeling lucky " and I found myself on Software tips, tricks| Windows| Antivirus| spyware| Avinashtech ; with Norton however it performs and "ask.com" search and I find a list of results for avinashtech.
Completel/Dartybox-2 FR is
50.4%
Faster
than your current primary DNS server
:noidea:
my DNS is 19 % slower then google DNS ....
49 % faster then UltraDNS and 62% then OpenDNS-2, is this ok . using BSNL 2MBPS Blan .
I don't really care for DNS Service so I just use what my ISP gives me. I used to test it by using namebench and yes, it was not the fastest nor the best choice but it is sufficient in its accordance to my bandwidth.
