You can use FF addon called Video DownloadHelper to download multiple youtube videos.

I just wrote a post about it too which will be live around 630 PM IST today.

I use Orbit downloader to "record" streaming media and save it on my hard disk.

Install Orbit downloader, restart FireFox, bcoz it will install an addon called OneClick YouTube Downloader.

Play any streaming media,( video, mp3, etc). The icon in FireFox toolbar will turn blue, click on it, you will see media info, click on "record it".
