    Question Need help, buying a laptop

    Ok, finally i'm buying a new laptop...

    new=NEW, not refurbished.

    Please suggest me the following:

    1. brand (from HP, Sony, Dell)
    2. processor
    3. RAM size
    4. graphics card, if any

    budget = $500-$600.

    Thanks,
    Grr

    I recommend going for a Core 2 duo, or core i series processor.
    Make sure its a 64 bit laptop with genuine Windows 7
    With a minimum memory of 2gb ddr3 RAM , but nowadays most laptops come with 4gb RAM
    And a 500gb SATA HDD

    A few laptops come with a good graphics card. (512mb is good enough)

    Try to get one with an Extended warranty if possible.

    You may find some interesting deals at many websites

    Mostly new laptops don't come with core 2 duo processors(dual cores and core i processors). Its a strategy by intel to sale more core i processors. I would recommend you a dell one and allmost all dell laptops come with 3GB DDR3 ram. Including graphics card the dell and hp products will be bit high range.
    HDD--Either 320GB or 500GB .

    Bro just an advice from me never buy a laptop judging by its looks. I will still recommend u Dell but if u really want looks then go for sony vaio. Nobody can match its looks and product wise it is also good. As far as model no. and stuffs u can check the official site.

    for the sony vaio laptops comparisons.
