Panda Safe Browser: Safe access to any website

Panda Safe Browser allows you to browse the Web safely and privately, without being affected by malware or exploits that can be hidden on any site. Every time you close Panda Safe Browser, the session data is deleted, assuring your privacy and the integrity of the software for the next run.

5 reasons that make you choose this product:

First, it’s based on Mozilla Firefox, a much secure browser than Microsoft Internet Explorer. This considerately lowers the possibility of an attack.

Second, it has almost no plug‐ins that can be explored by malware to run on the system (like a PDF‐file reader, although it can read PDF files)

Third, it runs on with limited permissions, which means that even if some malware can exploit Firefox or the plugins it uses,

the practical use of an attack will be close to none, because it cannot make changes to the operating system.

Forth, inside Panda Safe Browser Mozilla Firefox runs on Linux operating system, which has much less common vulnerabilities to explore.

Fifth, on the top of all of this, Panda Safe Browser is a virtual machine, which means its functioning is isolated from your PC.

Note: during the installation, you are also promoted to set up "sun virtualbox"

Here is the description of Panda Safe browser by

    Safe access to any website

Panda Save Browser will allow you to access it without any risk. The application allows you to browse the Web safely and privately, without being affected by malware or exploits that can be hidden on any site. Every time you close Panda Safe Browser, the session data is deleted, assuring your privacy and the integrity of the software for the next run.

Panda Safe Browser is based on multiple layers of protection that minimize the risk of an infection from the web to only a theoretical, almost impossible, chance.
    - First, it’s based on Mozilla Firefox, a much secure browser than Microsoft Internet Explorer. This considerately lowers the possibility of an attack.
    - Second, it has almost no plug‐ins that can be explored by malware to run on the system (like a PDF‐file reader, although it can read PDF files).
    - Third, it runs on with limited permissions, which means that even if some malware can exploit Firefox or the plugins it uses, the practical use of an attack will be close to none, because it cannot make changes to the operating system.
    - Forth, inside Panda Safe Browser Mozilla Firefox runs on Linux operating system, which has much less common vulnerabilities to explore.
    - Fifth, on the top of all of this, Panda Safe Browser is a virtual machine, which means its functioning is isolated from your PC.

So, an attacker should have to be aware of this and to bypass at least four much elaborated levels of security even before arriving to your “real” PC, where with the help of the most advanced Panda Security technologies (that, alone, have several more layers of protection) you would be completely shielded from that very slight possibility of attack. Nothing is 100% safe, but Panda Safe Browser brings you much more close to that!

How can Panda Safe Browser protect my privacy?
Normally, Panda Safe Browser runs entirely on the system memory, not saving anything in your hard drive, not even temporarily. Every time you close the program, all the files and data used during the browser session are discarded. When the program is started again, it has no “memory” from its last use.

This means that no cookies, cached images, saved form data or other traces of your activities will be available to be recovered. In this sense, the program is 100% private. But keep in mind that your online activities still can be recorded by your Internet service provider or by any online service in which you identify yourself (i.e. if you login to a site using Panda Safe Browser, that site will still be able to save all of your steps on it while you do not close the program, even if you logout).

Can I use Panda Safe Browser to access financial sites, e‐banking or online shops 100% safe?
Panda Safe Browser was designed to protect you from threats that come from the Internet during web browsing, not the contrary. Although the program has some safeguards that lower significantly this possibility, if your computer is already infected with malware it might be possible that your financial details can be stolen.

It’s strongly advisable to use Panda Safe Browser together with a best‐of‐breed antimalware protection, like the security suites of the 2011 Panda Consumer range. If you use Panda Safe Browser and the last Panda Security protection, based on the award‐winning Collective Intelligence, you can use the Internet with total peace of mind.

Panda Safe Browser depends on technology from Mozilla Firefox, one of the most used browsers in the world, which can handle virtually any site. However, there are still some sites optimized to specific browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer) or that do not follow the most recent standards, and that can show some small graphical glitches in Panda Safe Browser. This is normal and most of the times do not affect the browser experience significantly. Also, some non‐western characters may not be supported.

The performance of Safe Browser depends on the speed of your computer. Because it’s basically a virtual machine, it uses more resources than a normal browser (but it’s much more secure than one). Most of the computers less than 2 or 3 years old will handle normal browsing in the program with an acceptable performance, but only the most recent hardware may be able to play multimedia files without any hiccups. Anyway, it’s always recommended to close all programs when using Panda Safe Browser.
    NOTE:
Panda Save Browser makes the use of VirtualBox, which will be downloaded and installed on your system.

    Requirements:

    · Intel Pentium 4 CPU with 3GHz or better
    · 1GB of RAM
    · 400MB of hard drive space
PS: read about it on softpedia, yesterday.Didn't post about it, why? Check the words I highlighted in bold
