Is it possible to have the forums, when you hit "Mark this forum read" that it brings you to the forum index page rather than the same sub forum you were in? or at least an option for that to check

Its core feature of myBB platform and the defaults are based on users feedback. May be some users want it the other way. Hence it wont be possible to change that. Also, I would not like to play with core files of forum until its absolutely necessary.

btw, I am too bad in coding too. :P

Thank you for the sidebar feedback. Its a great addition I have been searching for long.

And yes, Forum contribution by members is low except few. The reason being we are still very small forum with just few active members. Hope we can soon change that. :P

Question Why approval is required for posts?

Why approval is required for posts?

It is hard to see that it requires approval to make a post in Tutorials, tips and tricks section. Proof below:

    When, why this new rule?

There is no approval required for any post in any forum.

The message you saw above is result of AKISMET anti spam plugin which sometimes moves posts to Moderation queue if it thinks its like spam.

You need not worry about it. The post will be live.

This Anti Spam plugin is necessary, as We receive lot of Spam on the blog and forum daily. I see it daily as I had to moderate it but you wont be able to see the Spam as AKISMET blocks it.

    So sorry for any incovenience.

Every security thing will have false positives as they lack a sixth sense. But since AKISMET is a must have plugin, there is no other go. But akismet will only quarentine your posts and wait for Admin's decision. So no need to worry.
