Internet Download Manager version 6.07 build 9 (Released: Aug 29, 2011)
What's new:
I am not sure if my two cents below is allowed to be published here. I just think that IDM is a very popular program so I take the initiative to share it. Regardless, if mods or admin feel it is unsafe, don't hesitate to edit my post.
- Added support for Firefox 7
- Fixed bugs
I started using IDM on the last of June and over two months since then, I am still able to use it as an unregistered user. I don't know how but the secret seems to lie on how I update IDM. Even during the 30 days trial period, users are permitted to update IDM to a newer version. Based on the date I see when I open at the About window, I assume that the installation date will be reset everytime we update IDM. I update IDM at least once a month to avoid the trial expiry and the date follows, and so does the trial period. Again, I don't know but perhaps I can use IDM forever even without applying the required key.

Internet Download Manager version 6.12 Final Build 21
I find the major feature of the latest two builds are IDM extension for Google Chrome. Internet Download Manager version 6.12 Final Build 21 is a quick fix of Build 20 which failed to integrate smoothly with Chrome (after IDM had taken over the download process, Chrome internal download manager still showed up to handle it). The extension itself does not seem to be compatible with other Chromium-based web browser. At least, I, who is using SRWare Iron, discover it leads one-click button for multimedia streaming downloader to cease to appear. The workaround is disabling the extension, which means good for me as it allows me to reduce the memory load from Iron's active module. What's new in version 6.12 Final Build 21?
