    The answer is No...

Moreover is there any specific reason for u to have so many protections?

What websites do u visit; which makes u so concerned abt 200% security...?

In case ST is still a problem switch to SpyBot...

What do you mean by NO?
If you are referring to multiple firewalls, i dont use them anymore.
Although i do feel insecure about Norton's firewall,
i have written to a symantec friend about configuring it.

Spyware Terminator HIPS functions similar to a firewall and i block unwanted stuff.
Not a firewall, just similar to it. Try it and you will realize its worth.
ST has removed threats in realtime, immunizes the PC against threats too.
ST has scheduled scans too :-)

I have tried Spybot, i dont rate it highly. No realtime protection.
    Just scans and removes spyware.
Besides it is infamous for its incompatibility with other softwares, especially with Kaspersky.

Like i said in my USB pen drive issue, my old computer with Avast free got infected with Harakit worm
last year.Control panel was inaccessible, many right click menu functions were disabled.
System restore was inaccessible, wallpaper was black, etc etc.

I know many here would be fans of Avast, if you were in my situation, you would know Avast's vulnerabilities.
Avast just let in the worm like a guest and my PC crashed, but the moment i plugged the USB drive in my PC with Norton it quarantined and deleted the worm.

When i am not at home, my family use my PC.
Well both my PCs are online for over 15 hours everyday.
Business emails, attachment downloads, and my personal usage (orkut, twitter, forums, etc) make it a necessity.

And most people dont bother scanning their dvds, USB flash drives or memory cards for viruses.
They just plug it in, click something and get their PC infected.

Thats why i seek complete realtime protection.
To prevent programs from auto-running, auto-quarantine, etc when i am not around.
Dont wanna see my PC get infected again.

PS: I dont visit warez sites or illegal sites, except i download magazines and ebooks from torrents.

Eg: Old issues of PC world,Chip or Classic novels, tutorial ebooks, recipes, etc.
Use peerblock to avoid being detected, although these are minor downloads, not worth being tracked.
Some torrents come with viruses, but Norton handles them like a breeze, :-)

    Red face

Ok. i though it is still multiple.

Although i do feel insecure about Norton's firewall,
i have written to a symantec friend about configuring it.
    I won't either trust Norton...

    I'm tempted now...

ST has removed threats in realtime, immunizes the PC against threats too.
ST has scheduled scans too :-)
Feel free to try PCtools Threatfire...it works good...blocking/allowing on request, realtime also

I have tried Spybot, i dont rate it highly. No realtime protection.
    Just scans and removes spyware.
Is realtime, configured as Resident protection. ALso u could use Paranoid mode...

Besides it is infamous for its incompatibility with other softwares, especially with Kaspersky.
Never faced so...as i'm not using Kaspersky...

Moreover if it is, then only due to Kaspersky hidden policy to not allow anything go with it, else no one would get Kaspersky.

I know many here would be fans of Avast, if you were in my situation, you would know Avast's vulnerabilities.
I'm. But no worms for me. May be u use USB a lot, visit flash sites, click advertisements a lot..

Avast just let in the worm like a guest and my PC crashed, but the moment i plugged the USB drive in my PC with Norton it quarantined and deleted the worm.
    configure on-boot scan in Avast....
When i am not at home, my family use my PC.
Well both my PCs are online for over 15 hours everyday.
Business emails, attachment downloads, and my personal usage (orkut, twitter, forums, etc) make it a necessity.
    OK..thats good

And most people dont bother scanning their dvds, USB flash drives or memory cards for viruses.
They just plug it in, click something and get their PC infected.
    Most of the time...

PS: I dont visit warez sites or illegal sites, except i download magazines and ebooks from torrents.
    Good boy..

    @ Grrr

Sure, i certainly recommend Spyware Terminator, but not the latest version 2.6.
Too many bugs, PC freezes, scans crashing, etc

Try 2.3 and update to the latest database from ST>Scan>updates
Dont use auto updates, it uses Peer to peer, it is at snail speed :-)
And use the offline installer, not the online installer.

Symantec does not recommend Threat fire with Norton, but PC tools recommend it alongside any AV.

(And Symantec owns PC tools) LOL :-)

I use No-script,Ad-block, so no ads in any websites :-)
I also recommend WOT or PC tools Browser Defender for Flock or Firefox.
