Few other things which I've noticed is,
1. The change of default search provider even if we don't opt for it. The default search provider is changed when you install the Toolbar, irrespective of whether you tick or don't tick the option "Change default search provider to AVG safe search" while installing.
2. I was surprised to see AVG advisor (which gives notifications whenever web browsers use lot of memory) in free edition. Till now I thought only Internet Security has that feature.
