PaperScan is a powerful TWAIN & WIA scanning software with an OCR engine centered on one idea : making document acquisition an unparalleled easy task for anyone.
I have never had many experiences with hardware-based software like this. The popular scanner software seems to be VueScan by Hamrick. PaperScan is rather a newcomer on the business. PaperScan had just celebrated its First Anniversary last month but it is making its way. There is also the Home edition which you can get for free if you are a student (I guess we must provide an .edu e-mail address for this).

PS. I don't need to tell you that you do need to own a scanner to enter this giveaway, right?
