I plan to buy a new smart phone soon.

    Want following features:
    good camera
    memory card slot
    bluetooth
    wifi (optional)
    support 2G & 3G
    touch screen
    screen keypad
    good warranty
    long battery life
    lots of free apps

    Any suggestions. Looking for 10-15K
From what Arnab told me a few months back, WP7 lacks basic features like Bluetooth file transfer, File manager.
Of course I would love to own a Windows phone, but it would be my secondary choice. With my Android phone, I feel I've a mini-laptop in my pocket.

Android has all the features you have listed, even the battery life has improved with the hundreds and thousands of custom ROMs that are available for various devices.
We also have tons of free apps which include Office Suites, Dropbox and other stuff which you could even use for work.

Look for these features while selecting an Android Phone:
    1. Screen size: More than 3.5 inches
    2. Gorilla Glass Display
    3. RAM: Over 512 mb
    4. Processor: 1Ghz Speed
    5. GPU: Armv7 or higher.
    6. Camera: 5 mega pixels or higher. (with flashlight)
    7. Battery: Higher than 1300 mAH
    8. Adobe Flash support for the browser.

You won't get a high end phone for that budget. I would suggest picking a phone like the Motorola Defy. It has the features that I mentioned, but its outdated and has been replaced by the Motorola Defy Plus.

Buy from a reputed brand like Samsung, LG or Motorola. Don't bother with the others. Read reviews about whatever phone you want to buy. For example, flipkart had different models of the Samsung Galaxy SII, they were sold as the Galaxy SII but they had noticeable differences in the hardware. I think they discontinued the models after lots of complaints.

Just head over to flipkart and browse for Android Mobiles. You can google about the models or read about them at GSMArena to check if they are the latest ones or not.

Here is what I got when I filtered it to your requirements:

If you are ready to increase your budget then HTC one V is a good choice which comes with

    • Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS
    • 5 MP Primary Camera
    • 3.7-inch Super LCD 2 Touchscreen
    • 1 GHz Processor
    • HD Recording
    • Wi-Fi Enabled
    • Expandable Storage Capacity of 32 GB

    update :

Looks like this phone has some issues and it didnt worked well for some users who bought it.

Here is a comparison of Moto Defy+ and Sony Experia U

I would pick the Defy+ for its bigger screen and better looks .
You can just head over to GSMArena, search for any model you like, click on compare and add another model you like.
