I have the discount codes but I think it is better if I trial Windows 8 first. I have a few programs that may not comply with Windows 8 due to updates given on major version or the lack of recent release yet. Granted, each company may have their own development pace so I can't expect too much for them to keep up with Microsoft. So, Avinash or Ashwin, would you please send me a PM which contains download link to Windows 8 setup?

The way you are asking has made me wonder if you are using a pirated copy of Windows 7?

You can download Windows 8 enterprise Evaluation 90 Day from here.
    Direct from MS.

Bonus hint:- Try searching for digital river download links for Windows 8 in mydigitallife forums. I am not posting those links here.

Can hardly believe that this is the same computer which used to run XP 4 years ago.

It's simply superb and I am enjoying the crispness

    Here's my desktop

That's the classic desktop, right? It looks similar to win 7. And I don't see an AV icon, just zemana and MBAM

What about the new interface, do you like it?

Microsoft had fixed the Rs. 699/ $14 upgrade loophole according to this .

Any idea when the retail copies are available in India?

All the reputed AVs support Windows 8 so don't worry about those. I suspect Ashwin is using KIS 2013.

Everyone are concerned about my PC's security?
I am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2013, ok here's a screenie.

As Bala requested, it is without the Start button and shows the K icon as Cosme wanted

Cosme asked me if I liked the new interface?
I love the new interface Metro UI is too good, since I use 1366x768 on an 18.5 inch wide LCD. It's like in HD. Superb clarity.

I too love Metro. Just finished my upgrading to Windows 8. No need of start menu, start screen is great and fast. Just remember to get the 110MB update to enable all metro apps to full version. Arn my local store says Win8 DVDS will be available in 2 weeks time. Forgot to say even with aero my pc is super fast

Looking at screenshot of Ashwin's desktop and I am beginning to question where is the point in installing Windows 8 without the highly-touted Metro interface?
What is Uchiha Madara's mangekyou sharingan doing there anyway? The one below the magnifier icon.

Man, that sucks! That's why I have been unable to get my third discount codes since yesterday.

I am not going to use Metro all the time. Besides it's just a click of the mouse away.
And the UI isn't the only thing Windows 8 is about. I can see that my PC is much faster (Nope not a placebo effect). Windows 8 definitely manages app memory better
And I love the native support for ISO,PDF too
