TeamViewer is a simple and fast solution for remote control, desktop sharing and file transfer that works behind any firewall and NAT proxy. To connect to another computer just run TeamViewer on both machines without the need of an installation procedure. With the first start automatic partner IDs are generated on both computers. Enter your partner's ID into TeamViewer and the connection is established immediately. With many thousand users worldwide TeamViewer is a standard tool to give support and assistance to people in remote locations.

Licenses, Updates and Downward Compatibility
* Teamviewer5 users are able to connect to TeamViewer 3 and 4 without any restrictions. The software is fully downward compatible.
* A connection from TeamViewer 3 or 4 to TeamViewer 5, however, is not possible for technical and licensing reasons.
* During the beta phase the TeamViewer 4 license keys are valid for the beta version of TeamViewer 5. With the release of the final version 5 the purchase of an update will be required.
* All customers who have bought a license key on the first of October 2009 and later will be able to use it permanently with TeamViewer 5 - in this case the update will be free of charge.
* Until 11/30/2009 all updates will be offered with special discounts!
* The final version of TeamViewer 5 is due for early December 2009
* Important note regarding the download link on our website: With the release of the final version 5 the download links will be changed and will link to the version 5 download. That means that if you would like to continue working with version 4 your clients would have to download the customer module from "Download | Previous versions" as your version 4 will not be able to establish connections to version 5. In order to keep your processes simple, we therefore recommend a timely upgrade to the latest version.
