Uruguay beat Ghana 4-2 on penalties after the score remained 1-1 after extra time

It was a sensational performance by Germany as they thrashed Argentina 4-0 to qualify in style for the Semi-finals

The Netherlands beat Uruguay 3-2 with goals from Van Bronckhorst, Robben and Sneijder.

Uruguay skipper Forlan scored a stunning left foot shot from long range to cancel Van Bronckhorst's opening goal, which was also a stunning left footed long range goal.

Sneijder and Robben struck in the scond half and M. Pereira pulled one back for Uruguay in the dying minutes of the match.

But it was all too late for the South Americans as the Oranje held on to win the match

Uruguay will play the losing team of tomorrow's SF between Spain and Germany, on the 10th for a 3rd place playoff, while the Oranje go all the way to Soccer City for the Grand Finale on July 11.
