Agreed with Corker! Revo is definitely not the holy grail of Uninstallers...
It was late as it had been planned for the last quarter of 2012. I presume old keys for Revo v2 aren't applicable due to its major version upgrade policy.
This latest version comes with several brand new and improved regular features, including the new offline scheme to simplify the registration process.
Full list can be found here:
- Added - Logs Database of prepared from us logs ready for uninstall
- Added - Integration between the modules for the best uninstall results
- Added - Quick/Multiple Uninstall command
- Added - Export, Import, Edit and Review logs
- Added - Details Panel about selected program/log in Icon view
- Added - Export in HTML of found leftover data and logs data
- Added - Possibility to uninstall few traced logs at once
- Improved - Scanning algorithms for leftovers
- Improved- Speed of parsing and unninstall of logs
- Improved - Many minor and user interface improvements
- Improved - All additional tools included in Revo Uninstaller Pro
I'd like to highlight the Change Icon and Add Comment commands (plus the Search) as they provide advanced programs installation management. These features have become a long residents of Total Uninstall which favored Total Uninstall over Revo in term of installation manager. So finally Revo adopted them. Late indeed, but better than never.

Maybe it also works if you got your license from a giveaway instead of buying it...IMPORTANT: Customers that have purchased a license for Revo Uninstaller Pro after October 01 2012, can use their current serial number to register Revo Uninstaller Pro 3 for free
When did your get the license? was it after October 01 2012?
Did you have to uninstall the v2 to install v3? I also have a license but I got it before that date so I didn't even try it.
