Exclamation Software to limit use of memory by an application

Well, to be simple, i'm looking for an application which could allow me to limit the memory used by an application.

In sort i'm fed-up by Firefox which eats up to 500, 000K memory..

I came across something of this kind, but forgot to make a note, so i'm lost now

Ashraf has written about Memory Fox which constantly recovers RAM/memory wasted by Firefox .

    Read about it here

PS: I havent used it yet

There are some problems with K-meleon or atleast with some extensions. They get detected as infections by some AVs

What extension? Are you talking about Noscript plugin?
I use Adblock Plus 1.0.2 for K-Meleon. It works pretty well.

Its been a while since I used K-Meleon, say 4 or 5 months, so I am not sure about the name. Think it was extension manager or something. Will find out later and post the info here
