When did your get the license? was it after October 01 2012?
Did you have to uninstall the v2 to install v3? I also have a license but I got it before that date so I didn't even try it.

I wrote Revo after my license would not upgrade. This is their reply.
Hello,
thank you for your feedback!
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If your serial number was generated after 1 October 2012 you should be able to upgrade Revo Uninstaller Pro to version 3.0 for free. But your serial number is generated before that and because this version 3.0 is a paid upgrade you will have to purchase an upgrade.
So you can continue to use version 2.5.9 with your current serial number:
You should not have problem to register version 2.59 with your serial number.
Another option is to purchase an upgrade license.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Revo Uninstaller Support Team
Thanks Mike,
I just found this at their .
Is the license of Revo Uninstaller Pro a lifetime license?
Purchase of a License includes free lifetime technical support and free updates of the program, till the next major version, i.e. 3.1.1; 3.5.0, 3.9.9 free updates till version 4.0. Major version (like 4.0) will include major improvements and major new features. Depending on its features you can decide to upgrade by purchasing an upgrade license (significant discounts will be applied) or to continue using the purchased version. You can continue using the major version for which you have purchased a license for as long as you want.
Mine is even older than you.
Don't tell me that all this time you guys had never realized Revo's license scheme. Yes, VS Revo Group impose major upgrade policy. Although, it has been a long period so far. About three years had come off only for v2. With such timeframe and sponsoring so many giveaways here and there, no wonder they decide that now is the time to deprecate old keys and ask for more money.
The online registration scheme in v3 is enhanced. Now there is a name field required (but I don't think it's specific, though) and the format of the key is changed into five digit (from previously four in v2).
