    I lost the cd to my webcam, how do i install it?

    I lost the installation cd to my usb webcam.
    and now i don't know how to install the webcam up. ops:
    can i download the installation off the internet? :ugeek:

    you need to find the make/type of your webcam and then find the drivers of that on the Manufacturer's website. Post some more details and we will be able to help you. 8-)

    yea i have logitech webcam and i pluged it in but it just makes a beb and then this thing called hardware wizard comes and it can't find it but were do i instal my webcam

    what kind of Logitech webcam u have. make/model....Do u lost just the CD or the accompanying manual...which is a small booklet?

    Do u have the installation CD?
    Did u ever use this Webcam before on the same system?

    As everyone else pointed out, you need the model number or hardware details to identify the drivers and download it from vendors site.

    Avi, I was thinking that by default XP might also support the webcam...without specific drivers...what do you say?

    most probably it will not. Until the webcam model is too old. It may be possible that Windows vista or most probably Windows 7 will support the webcam but no guarantees.
