I exited the Outpost from taskbar & now when trying to open it from Programs I get "outpost user interface has stopped working".

Another thing, after installing Avast Internet Security, the outpost icon stopped showing in taskbar, it won't even on clicking the outpost from programs. I had 2 disable Avast & let it open/show.

Open Avast and make sure Outpost service and GUI are excluded (or trusted)

Do the same for Avast in the Outpost settings

From ur help in chat with avast links as of now I have added in Avast's behaviour shield exclusion for outpost op_mon.exe. Lets c what happens, will check 2moro.

Next steps would be in this sequence:
    1. unchecking the 'monitor the system for unauthorised modifications' option in the behaviour shield, expert settings
    2. disabling behaviour shield
    3. uninstalling behaviour shield
    4. uninstalling other shields
    5. uninstalling Avast

I installed Avast free AV today and then Agnitum Outpost Pro FW

Now I activated Avast IS, rebooted and removed the FW ---> "Add/remove--->Avast-->Change--> unselected fw"

    Rebooted and it works fine

PS: All I did was exclude this folder in Avast when I installed Outpost this morning C:\Program Files\Agnitum

Update: As per your request at the chatbox, I right clicked on the Outpost tray icon and selected exit, shutdown service and rebooted

Both Avast IS (without the FW) and Outpost work fine

I used it previously for a short time(then my license for Agnitum expired...). I installed Outpost first since my app set-up was AV-Avira free and Outpost Pro both realtime. Replaced Avirafree with AvastFree. Got problems with WebGuard and WebControl of Outpost. The WebControl of Outpost was disabled to accomodate Avast installation. I later on enabled it the machine.ini file in the program files. I do not remember the link but it's there in the Agnitum website. I also excluded both(Avast/Outpost) in their exclusions.

    Now with OAfree now.
