PLEASE change the New Reply system

The new reply system is absolute crap. Not the first time i am complaining and i am sorry for if i complain too much.

    Why it is crap?

    1. If you copy a text the whole font style get copied.

    2. Hyper linking a text is the most difficult thing to do now. First we have to write the text then we have go back to select it and then add the link. You always have to add one extra letter before selecting the text to be hyperlinked else the next letter also get linked... in short bizarre . Hope you are clear else i can add explanation.

    3. You always have to make the hyperlinked text bold else you can't differentiate which one is hyperlinked and which one is simple text.

    These are the few reason....

I think, for the 1st problem we already have an answer in this current system. There is "Remove Format" button which removes formatting styles I think. I never tried it, but just a suggestion, take a look at it.

2nd issue is a big problem for frequent thread posters. (Not me )

I agree with arn on 3rd issue and it is very important to make hyperlinks look separate from normal text.

Well... the reply system is default one from Vbulletin and I can not downgrade to lower versions of Vbulletin due to security issues.

Still I will check if some Mod or addon is there which can help us.

Also, changing URL colors may be possible in themes but I need to check that out too.

IN short, I will do what I can to fix issues. For time being, Sam suggestion of removing format can be tried.

I don't have a problem with any of the three that Arnab mentioned, but was there a different reply system in place that I can't remember?

Ok. I use this method to highlight url.

    (for those who don't know)

    1. Type or copy the link you want

    2. Highlight it and click on the Globe icon with the chain (hyperlink)

    3. Copy and paste the url and click ok. Now click on the "A" icon and select colour of your choice. I use Blue because usually links are given in blue

    hope this helps
