    Avira detects itself as Virus!!!

A latest definition update error has led to detect avira as a virus itself. It detects avira as a spyware.
    From avira forums
    Hello,

We have had an false positive for the Avira file AESCRIPT.DLL which was detected as "TR/Spy.463227".

The spreading of the false VDF was stopped immediately and is now corrected with a new VDF.

Please update your Avira protection to fix the false positive.

This is just a minor one..remember the Avast fiasco when a so-called employee had released an update without checking(as Vlk stated) that sent users haywire. Oh well

Still, this would be a black mark for them. People always remember the bad things

Yes, Look at mcafee. After its goofup. This will never be forgotten keeping in mind the fact that avira is popular for FPs.

I never faced any issue, even though my Avira IS is constantly updating in the background. I wish they'll maintain quality until my free license expire
