    Exclamation Anonymous Leaks Symantec’s pcAnywhere Source Code

    After a lot of controversy and threats the hackers finally leaked the source code for Symantec’s pcAnywhere product, along with the emails we saw earlier today that contained the conversations between the hackers and the law enforcement representative that helped Symantec in the extorsion case.


    The 1.4 gigabyte archive file containing all the source code was posted on The Pirate Bay and the conversations were published on Pastebin, matching precisely the ones provided by Symantec to SecurityWeek, but with a few extra details.

    I heard symantec offered 50billion to them. Now symantec will have tough competition.

    Ash its not a big deal source code was fro norton 2006 range. Its not for latest version. Ppl may take ideas from 2006 source code but no one will incorporate it as 2006 was bloatware and resource hog.

    Yes. Who knows NIS is using 206 source code with a new UI with every version . Any way most users wont be affected in 4-5months 2013 version will come. Actually i am waiting for kaspersky 2013 version.
